What is blended learning, and how does it work?Online Learning: Complete the theory and instructional portion at your own pace through our American Heart Association's online platform. In-Person Skills Check: After completing the online portion, you attend an in-person session with one of our certified instructors to demonstrate hands-on skills. Takes about 15-30 minutes to complete. This part of the training is REQUIRED in ordered to obtain your AHA certification training. This method offers flexibility while maintaining high-quality, practical training.

Do you offer refunds for online courses?All sales for online courses, including AHA blended learning programs, are final. Once access to the online portion is provided, no refunds or exchanges will be issued. If you experience technical difficulties or require additional support, please contact us, and we will assist you in completing the course.

Once I complete my AHA certification course through EHS, will I receive an official American Heart Association Certification eCard for that course?Absolutely! Essential Healthcare Services is an official American Heart Association Training Site. Our AHA training courses are supported by the American Heart Association. After successful completion of our AHA training course, an AHA electronic certification card will be provided within 24 to 48 hours of completion.

How long is an AHA certification valid?AHA certifications, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and First Aid/CPR, are valid for 2 years from the date of completion.

I completed my online AHA(HeartCode) course, directly through the AHA website. How do I sign up to complete my hands-on skills check off with and AHA Instructor?We are happy to help with this! Click the link below. You will be directed to our calendar to select your day and time to come in to complete your skills session. This session should take approximately 15 to 30 minutes to complete.

How long does it take to complete an AHA blended course?The online portion is self-paced, and the time required depends on the course: BLS: Approximately 1–2 hours online +15-20 minutes in-person skills check. ACLS: Approximately 2- 3 hours online + 15-30 minutes in-person skills check. PALS: Approximately 2-3 hours online + 15-30 minutes in-person skills check. First Aid/CPR: Approximately 3 hours online + 30 minutes in-person skills check. Please keep in mind, that the AHA courses are designed to be self-paced and can be started and stopped at anytime. Time is based on the student.

How do I schedule my hands-on skills check after completing the online portion through Essential Healthcare Services?Once you complete the online learning, you will receive a certificate of completion. You will then receive an automatic email with our calendar to select your date and time to come in for your hands-on skills check off. FYI: You do NOT have to pay an additional fee for the hands-on skills session, if you purchased your AHA course directly through EHS.

These courses combine online learning with an in-person, hands-on skills check to ensure competency.
